Deborah Chisholm: Deborah Chisholm is a mixed media artist living in the Boston area, with a BFA in Illustration from Massachusetts College of Art and a Master of Teaching degree from Rhode Island School of Design. She is also an elementary art educator for the public school system in Arlington, MA.

Artist statement

"In recent years, I have developed an interest in Catholic iconography and religious symbolism. These images have become symbols of my past, my childhood and my upbringing. I find comfort and beauty in these images, which can range from creepy to intriguing, peaceful to disturbing. Through my art, I hope to represent this imagery with the kind of beauty that I see already present there."
